Bonsai
How tall is a tree? About three metres? Well, some trees in Japan are only 30 centimetres tall! The Japanese call these short trees 'bonsai.' They grow them in small flat pots. They cut the roots and the branches. So these trees never grow tall. In Japan, some bonsai have been with the family for 400 years.
